## Main Features

Tourists especially appreciate Kata Noi Beach for its soft golden sand, easy entry into the water, sandy seabed and privacy. Shallow areas make it ideal for families with children, and in other places the depth reaches 1.2-1.5 meters already 5 meters from the shore, allowing you to enjoy the underwater world in comfort.

## Picturesque beach

Kata Noi Beach is 700 meters long, which means you can walk around it in just 5-6 minutes. The name "noi" in Thai means "small", which accurately reflects its size. The coastal strip is straight and quite wide - up to 50 meters, so there is enough space for everyone. During high tide, the width of the beach decreases to 10 meters, and at low tide it reaches 80-100 meters. The sea water here is amazingly transparent and clean, and the sea has a delicate turquoise hue.

## Shipping and solitude

Due to the small size of the bay, Kata Noi is not as actively developed by shipping as the larger beaches of Phuket. On the one hand, this limits the mobility of vacationers, and for boat trips or trips to other islands, they have to go to the neighboring beaches of Kata or Karon. On the other hand, the absence of the constant noise of boat motors makes vacationing on Kata Noi especially pleasant.

## Beach infrastructure

There is almost no natural shade from the trees on the beach, however, as on other beaches in Phuket, you can rent sun loungers and umbrellas for only 100 baht. Kata Noi Beach does not boast the same variety of entertainment as neighboring Kata, but it offers jet skis and banana boat rides for rent.

## Shops and restaurants

There are not many shops along the coast, no markets or supermarkets. In some places you can buy soft drinks, beer, snacks and fresh fruit. However, if you want to have a snack in a cafe or restaurant, you will have to choose only from those that are open at the hotels, and the prices in them are quite high. It is for this reason that Kata Noi Beach is considered the most expensive on the island. The restaurant "Mom Tri's Kitchen" is especially popular with tourists, where the terrace offers a magnificent view of the sea bay.

## Active recreation

The sea area adjacent to the southern part of Kata Noi Beach is especially popular with snorkelers. The seabed has preserved picturesque coral reefs where you can see schools of colorful fish, crabs and even sea turtles. There is a rental of masks and fins on the beach, but most snorkelers come here with their own equipment.

During the monsoon season, which starts in May and ends in October, strong winds create large waves, which attract surfers. Warning flags are put up on the beach, but the conditions are ideal for surfers, and Phuket Beach is packed with surfers.

## Where to stay

There are not as many hotels near Kata Noi Beach as on Karon or Kata, but all options are presented - from budget 2* hotels to elite five-star hotels. Cheaper apartments should be looked for at a distance from the seashore. Many tourists who like to spend time on Kata Noi Beach rent inexpensive guesthouses near the neighboring Kata Beach. Prices for accommodation start from 500 baht per night.

Most of the coastline is occupied by the expensive hotel "Katathani Phuket Beach Resort". It offers guests cozy rooms, tennis courts, a swimming pool with sea water, a spa, a sauna, a jacuzzi, billiards, mini golf and children's playgrounds. ## How to get to Kata Noi Beach

Kata Noi Beach is located 20 km from Phuket Town and 45 km from the island airport. There are two roads leading to this beach.

Kata Noi can be reached from Kata Beach. From the road to the beach, vacationers go down a concrete staircase. It is not difficult to find the place to go down - there are always many motorbikes parked near it. The road to Kata Noi Beach also runs from the places intended for scuba diving. It is easy to get here by tuk-tuks, taxis, rented cars or motorbikes.

## Public transport

There are daily buses from Phuket Town to Kata Beach. They start running at 7:00 and finish delivering passengers at 18:00. A bus ticket costs 40 baht. You can walk from Kata Beach to Kata Noi Beach.
