Description of the beach
In my opinion, Bang Saen Beach resembles the beach in Pattaya, but it is cleaner and has its own special atmosphere. It is the closest beach to Bangkok, which makes it convenient to visit. After all, the capital has everything you need, including an international airport. However, the proximity of the metropolis can affect the cleanliness of the sea.
The sea here is not pleasing to the eye - it does not have azure or turquoise shades, but is constantly greenish and muddy. But Bang Saen Beach is quite suitable for sunbathing.
Entry into the water, depth and waves
The coast is flat and the sea is shallow, which makes it not very convenient for swimming due to strong low tides. However, people still swim, and apparently the depth up to the shoulders begins about 20 meters from the shore. In windy weather there are waves, but in general the beach is quite calm.
Sunbeds and shade
The beach is wide and without trees, which grow only along the road and serve more as a decorative element. Nevertheless, there are a lot of people here, and this is evident from the large number of sun loungers that are located in dense rows. All groups of sun loungers are connected to a cafe where you can order Thai food and seafood.
Infrastructure
Since the beach is located in the city, it has everything you need. The city has hospitals, stadiums, several parks, entertainment and famous attractions such as the Temple of Hell and Heaven. Along the entire beach there is a pedestrian street with cafes and family tandem bike rentals.
Ten meters from the water there is a road, beyond which the urban development begins.
Beach Houses and Hotels
Some tourists come here not only for vacation, but also for a long term to rent a condo or a house. There are many housing options here, for every taste and budget. However, it is worth considering that in this part of Pattaya, not everyone speaks English, and there may be difficulties in communicating with property owners if you decide to rent a private house or apartment.
To rent apartments, you can use Sutochno, which offers apartments in Russia and the CIS. The service also accepts Russian cards and is similar to Airbnb.
How to find the beach
The Victory Monument bus station no longer exists, the military has removed all routes. Now the bus station can only be reached by shuttle.
Buses and minibuses depart from Ekkamai Bus Terminal, which is located next to Ekkamai BTS Station. The cost is 100 baht per person.
